i have a belkin cable router model f5d9230-4 and i am trying to telnet to it. I can't get it to work and i believe it is disabled on the router. Could anyone tell me how to enable it?

Enter from your web brouser to the router IP, go to management and enable the telnet interface on LAN.

You are trying to set up the router with the Telnet connection. I think it is a DSL connection.
Are you able to go online when connected to the telnet modem only ?
or do you have user name and password for the ISP.
