Re: will not print yellow

Is the new cartridge an HP or an aftermarket. Yellow is the hardest ink to duplicate correctly in an after market cartridge and this is a common problem.
If you are using after market cartridges, try an HP cartridge. The printheads are part of the cartridge and clogging should not be an issue.

I have a HP PSC 1410 printer Every time I turn it on, it prints a "Test Page". The Check cartridge light is On, but I just had the cartridges filled. "E" shows in the Copies section I am only printing...

I suspect by "Test Page" you may mean alignment page. If the printer senses a problem with black or yellow colors it will continue putting out this page each time you start the printer. Be sure you correctly installed the print cartridges then follow the instructions on the paper to scan it and do a proper alignment. If you have done the alignment chances are something is wrong with your ink. I recommend against getting carts refilled. In the future be sure to use a new name brand ink cart to ensure proper printing. Please consult the following page for detailed diagrams:

I have new photo (58) and color (57) carts and when I print wallet size (9 pics per 8.5x11 photo paper) the first 3 print true color and the last 6 are blue. I have cleaned the rollers and still do not...

hello, you are using the photo color ink cart, have you tried running a cleaning cycle or test print, the reason why i ask, is that maybe 1 of the colors is not printing, the test pages would prove what color is missing, if black not printing, it would print possible blue, or no black at all. i know you have put in new inks, but since the volume of ink in these cartridges run out according to usage, one color might run out before the others, and since black and yellow are the most used colors, without them your prints will show color faults.

My HP officejet 5510 is only printing yellow, and it was printing fine yesterday. I put in a new color cartridge, but still it only prints yellow. What else should I do?

first thing you should do is to check the cart again and make sure no packing material shoud nt be ther.. try to clean the cart..perform reset.. if it doesnt work.. replace the cart.. cart are bad.

Yellow not printing on test print -

You either have a leaking cart or the print head has become cross contaminated. Remove all the carts and check the feed hole under each of them. Make sure they are the color of the ink in the cart. Remove the print head and, using a damp cotton bud (water ONLY!) give the print head a clean. DO NOT use the same cotton bud for all sponges.

If that doesn't solve it then take the print head to a re-inking firm and have it cleaned professionally. Won't cost much and will hopefully solve the problem.

Changed toner cart. do to void in middle of print

My whole day, today, was filled with dealing with bad toner carts.

Even new genuine ones from HP

Colors are not printing correctly. put in a new cartridge, test page came back with only black, yellow, and blue. fiddled around with it a bit to no avail. put in anther new cartridge, test page came...

I use a small diameter silicone tube to carefully "prime" stubborn new carts by sucking a drop of ink out of the tiny print holes in the printhead part of the cart. Ink can dry at the head and since these carts work by electrical excitation, there needs to be liquid of each color at the holes. Slap a drop of water with your finger on the holes to start easy hesitant ones. Do not get the contacts wet.

Check that all, printhead and ink are seated and contacts are correct.

Power down the printer and allow for a complete power on and self test.

Lexmark X5320 won't print acts like it's printing but paper is blamk, also tells me right ink is wrong( it is not)

Hello there,

The most common cause for printing blank pages is (1) Failure to remove the protective tape from the bottom of the cartridge. Even if you have removed the tape, there might be some residual tape left at the bottom of the cartridge. I would suggest you check out for this yellow or/and transparent blue tape at the bottom.Please remove it, if present. (2) If there is no tape left behind, then the next option is to clean the cartridge nozzles. I would suggest you go to Lexmark control program or Lexmark Solution Center and run the clean nozzle test. You should see solid dark lines on the print out. Repeat the process 2-3 times till you get a good output. (3) If all the above steps fails, don't worry.. we have one last thing to try... Remove the carts from the printer.. take a warm damp paper towel Set the ink cartridge right side up on the damp paper towel so that the ink nozzles are touching the towel, and hold the cartridge in this position for about 15 seconds. The nozzles are where the ink comes out of the cartridge. Repeat this process atleast two times and then put the carts back to the printer after 1 min (we need to allow the cart contacts to dry). Now you can install the cart to the printer and try printing. If you still have a problem with the cart, then I would suggest you try another cart as there should be something wrong with the cart that you have right now.

Hi Grandma,

Sorry to hear of your trouble.

I would remove the ink carts, reseat the print head then reinstall the ink carts. Try printing again to see if things improve. If it does good. If not try the Kodak online team. 800 421 6699 They will help you get things working correctly.

Hp 1200 business inkjet help

I have a solution that is very similar to that printed above.
I have tested it on five installations on the computers on my home network and an HP Business Inkjet 1100, and the PCs running Win XP SP3.
Step 1) If you are setting up the printer from the HP CD, decline the question where it asks if you want to print a test page, (this will avaoid the first print job before re-setting the dates).
Step 2) Reset your clock back to a year prior to the year when your cartidge expired.
Step 3) Print a test page, or two. Or a few pages from any application.
Step 4) Reset your clock back to the current year.
The printer now prints fine. Since I performed the sequence above I have been printing with the "expired" cartridges for a few weeks. I have printed on about 15 occasions over the past few weeks, amounting to about 50 pages. No problems so far. I don't know how long this solution lasts or whether I will have to go through it again.
I have gone through a few different "solutions", including a Registry hack that didn't work, but this simple solution above has worked every time on five different installations.
I did not need to turn the printer on/off, and did not need to re-boot the computers.
However, if I sent a print job to the printer before performing the sequence described above, and the printer gave an "expired cartridges" error, then I would need to turn the printer on/off to clear the error, and flush the print queue.
