Question about NetGear DG834G Router
I got my i-touch for Christmas. It's been working with the wifi since then. Early this morning (about 1 AM) it suddenly stopped working. I've tried different DNS, IP addresses, etc. I've spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it, and I have no idea. Usually, I'm pretty good with technical stuff, but this is insane. Why won't it work? Why did it all of a sudden stop? When I say suddenly, that's exactly what I mean. It had just loaded the google page and justas it got done loading the "can't find server" message appeared.
Turn off touch then back on, then go to settings and press forget network then that network should reappear and select it and it should work.

Go to apple.com and press "Chat" button on the Left side. Then, you will be connected to an apple expert service operator in less than 30 seconds. ask him all the questions. He will most likely solve your problems. I hope this will solve your problems...

If you had a sudden disconnect from your Wi-Fi, the odds are that the Router had a hick up or a power glitch. Before you start just trying anything, go to apple.com/support and type in your problem and see what the How To articles tell you to do. If you have had the iPod less than a year, call them for telephone tech support. If not, you can pay them a one time fee of $29 and they will suss out your issue and work toward a resolution for you. You can get a manual online at apple.com/support/ipod. The one for the Touch is 147 pages, so they are downloaded as PDF file. Save and keep. You will find Wi-Fi connection there also.

Go to the wifi settings and the network your connected on and hit "forget this network" then turn off wifi. Reconnect yourself to the network and turn wifi on just like you did the first time.

Mine went out, and the solution was to take it to the overly
pretentious Apple store. (Make sure you
make an appointment, they don’t do drop ins)
Apparently, there was a hardware failure, and they swapped it out on the

I had the same problem with my Touch, I ended up setting a Static IP address with all other settings and it worked again. However when I tried DHCP again it wouldn't work.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
