Itouch wifi issues

I got my i-touch for Christmas. It's been working with the wifi since then. Early this morning (about 1 AM) it suddenly stopped working. I've tried different DNS, IP addresses, etc. I've spent hours trying to figure out how to fix it, and I have no idea. Usually, I'm pretty good with technical stuff, but this is insane. Why won't it work? Why did it all of a sudden stop? When I say suddenly, that's exactly what I mean. It had just loaded the google page and justas it got done loading the "can't find server" message appeared.

Turn off touch then back on, then go to settings and press forget network then that network should reappear and select it and it should work.

Go to and press "Chat" button on the Left side. Then, you will be connected to an apple expert service operator in less than 30 seconds. ask him all the questions. He will most likely solve your problems. I hope this will solve your problems...

Re: itouch wifi issues

If you had a sudden disconnect from your Wi-Fi, the odds are that the Router had a hick up or a power glitch. Before you start just trying anything, go to and type in your problem and see what the How To articles tell you to do. If you have had the iPod less than a year, call them for telephone tech support. If not, you can pay them a one time fee of $29 and they will suss out your issue and work toward a resolution for you. You can get a manual online at The one for the Touch is 147 pages, so they are downloaded as PDF file. Save and keep. You will find Wi-Fi connection there also.

Re: itouch wifi issues

Go to the wifi settings and the network your connected on and hit "forget this network" then turn off wifi. Reconnect yourself to the network and turn wifi on just like you did the first time.

(Make sure you make an appointment, they don’t do drop ins) Apparently, there was a hardware failure, and they swapped it out on the spot.

Re: itouch wifi issues

I had the same problem with my Touch, I ended up setting a Static IP address with all other settings and it worked again. However when I tried DHCP again it wouldn't work.

Very Confusing

My netgear DG834pn was working fine, but suddenly from today morning there is no wi-fi led burning and it is not emitting wifi signals too, i checked in router page and checked - wifi is on and ssid is...

If it has stopped working all of a sudden, could be a faulty router. But before that, I would suggest you to reset the router once.
Hope this helps
Thanks Ranjit

Hi, Follow the steps below to change the wireless channel on the home router:

Itouch says connected to router but not to internet

I had exactly the same problem with a brand new 3rd gen iTouch. It showed it was connected to the network but wouldn't access anything (invalid argument etc). I tried everything but no joy. Eventually I fixed it by changing the router's encryption from WEP to WPA2-PSK. Fixed it like magic. Where there had been no router or DNA data before, they were suddenly filled in. The key was different but was still on the bottom of the router. I had to re-enter the key on my wireless laptop2_bing.gif but that was a small price.

You can get into the router set-up page through your web browser. I found a guide on You Tube.

Good luck!

Ipod Touch can't connect to WiFi

MY only solution was reset my i-pod touch, and after reset it's working very well my Wi-Fi.

To reset your i-pod touch just go to settings
you will find reset button.

Alternately, check your router to see if it actually sees the i-pod.

Try re-synching your i-pod.

Also try resetting your router with the i-pod off then after router resets turn i-pod back on. Should find then..

Hope this helps.

Itouch won't connect to wireless network

it could just be that your iphone is not recieving enough signal from your router and you need to get closer. either that or your router is ineligible to provide services to your iphone

ITouch wifi

Make sure you have WiFi enabled in the ipod touch and also make sure the place you are connecting to uses WifI as some may use ISDN, bluetooth, etc.

I have heaard there have been problems with the 2.0 Version, so you might also want to check for updates for the ipod touch.

Internet connection speed of the Encore ENHWI-G2

if you're router is in the B+G setting, try setting it to the B setting, this is because the wireless adapter in the i-phone/i-touch uses only the B setting, sucks for most part.. but that got my i-phone working like a charm.. hope this helps
