I get a continual printer jam error on my hp

I get a continual printer jam error on my hp officejet 7310 all-in-one printer - I have gone through the troubleshooter guide on the hp site, and have found no jammed paper. I was hoping i could by pass the printer and just use the scanner but wont let me do anything until i resolve the paper jam.
Has anyone any ideas.
