Printer problem lexmark and hewlett packard

I just purchased a lexmark 4800 series wifi printer, i cannot get it to work,no matter what I tried, same with a hewlett packard printer, either it says printer spooling not able to print possible vpn or the lex will not connect, even called lexmark help anybody please
I have the same problem
I know someone who can solve this problem

I have the same problem. My Lexmark X4850 does not work with Vista - I get an error message during installation saying that the drivers cannot be installed because the 'driver is not compatible with a policy enabled on your computer that blocks NT4.0 drivers'. Surely this implies the driver is not suitable for VISTA despite what Lexmark say?

Turn off all your security software (antivirus, firewalls), download the latest drivers from the lexmark site, manually extract them to a folder without running the setup wizard- connect printer to usb- go to the folder you extracted the files to, right click on the setup file and 'run as administrator'- it should successfully install and go wireless-
