My deep steam cleaner stopped sucking the water up. any ideas why

When these stop picking up water, I assume it is spraying the water out, is because of a missing seal, where the suction port is, or a filter is clogged. Tank isn't set down like it should be.

I wouldn\'t attempt that unless it says you can do that in the manual. Use a steam cleaner. They are made to suck up water.

inside the water container there is a red flap that has a filter, clean it off and you are good to go

Suds not coming out

do you have the dial set to presoak ? Clean? or Rinse?
make sure the container for the soap is full and is popped into place correctly.

also... if the water canister is empty or the dirty water container is full it will stop sucking up the water :)

Doesn't return the dirty water to the tank, after apply the water

My Bissel has been having problems sucking the dirty water back into the tank. It's like it works for half a dozen uses and then just stops working. After I turn it on and off for a couple of hours trying to troubleshoot the issues it just starts working out of the blue again and sucks up the dirty water. I know there is a yellow stopper that goes up and can stop the flow but that's down and not the issue here.
