- Guide Showing How to Create the Perfect Pandora Battery

This guide will take you through the steps needed to create a perfect universal Pandora’s battery
You can follow this same guide on both the Classic and Slim PSP
Introduction
This guide is a rewrite of Moose_Island’s guide, as it started to become outdated.
This will guide you through the steps of creating a “perfect” Pandora battery and memory stick, with all the features you may want.
After following this complete guide, you will be able to use your Pandora battery and memory stick to both boot your PSP normally, but also use TimeMachine, 3.90 M33-3 installation, NANDTool and many more things.
Please take a look at the compatible batteries list under this spoiler to make sure that you’ll be able to follow this guide.

Working
* Sony “standard” Li-ion 1800 mAh.
* Sony PSP-280 2200mAh.
* Datel, PSP Battery 3600 mAh (X2).
* Datel, PSP Battery 1800 Max Power.
* Datel, PSP Battery GO MAX (Model # GM1000, uses AAA batteries).
o Note: If you remove the AAA batteries, it resets the serial.

* Sony PSP-280 2200mAh

What will I need?
First we need to go over what you need to create a Pandora’s battery:
* A PSP with a custom firmware, or homebrew compatible firmware.
* A PSP battery you are willing to convert
o A classic PSP battery will fit in both PSP’s, a Slim battery only in the Slim.
* A USB cable.
All the specific files are inside the different parts to keep it clean.
Part 1: PreparationDownloads: Hellcat's Pandora Installer Revision 4 (444)
1. Important: Before you continue, backup all files on your memory stick, you will lose them.
2. Download the above file and extract it to your dekstop.
3. Enter the ‘pan3xxr3a’ folder, then copy the ‘pan3xx’ folder to X:/PSP/GAME.
4. Launch the installer from GAME > Memory Stick.
5. Press circle to make your battery a Pandora.
6. Press R + X, then L + R + X, to format your memory stick.
7. Press X to turn your PSP off.
8. Enable USB again, and copy your backup back to your memory stick.
Note: From now own your battery is a Pandora, but won’t be able to boot from the NAND yet, therefor, you’ll have to use only your AC adapter for the rest of this guide.
Part 2: Installing TimeMachineDownloads: TimeMachine (191)
1. Download the above file and extract it to your desktop.
2. Enable USB on your PSP and browse to X:/PSP/GAME/.
3. Copy the ‘TIMEMACHINE’ folder (from your desktop) into ‘X:/PSP/GAME/’.
4. Toggle off USB, and browse to the Game > Memory stick on your PSP.
5. Launch the TimeMachine Installer.
6. Choose ‘Install iplloader on PSP MS boot sector’
7. You’ve now got TimeMachine, now follow the guides under this spoiler to add firmwares to it.
Adding firmwares to TimeMachine:
Classic PSP only
Installing 1.50 to the memory stick Downloads: 1.50 EBOOT (251)
This will allow you to run 1.50 from the memory stick.
1. Download the 1.50 EBOOT.PBP and rename it to ‘150.PBP’.
2. Place the newly renamed 150.PBP in root of memory stick.
3. Run the TimeMachine Installer and select the option which is ‘Install 1.50 (PHAT)’.
4. Continue to another option or exit.
Installing 3.40 OE to the memory stickDownloads: 1.50 EBOOT (251), 3.40 EBOOT (153)
This will allow you to run 3.40 OE from the memory stick.
1. Download the 1.50 EBOOT.PBP and rename to ‘150.PBP’.
2. Place the newly renamed 150.PBP in root of memory stick.
3. Download the 3.40 EBOOT.PBP and rename to ‘340.PBP’.
4. Place the newly renamed 340.PBP in root of memory stick.
5. Run the TimeMachine Installer and select the option which is ‘Install 3.40 OE (PHAT)’.
6. Continue to another option or exit.
Slim PSP Only
Install 3.60M33 to the memory stickThis will allow you to run 3.60 M33 from the memory stick.
1. First you must dump the 360.PSAR from a PSP Slim running 3.60M33:
1. Run the program 360DUMPER that is found in the TimeMachine Files on a psp running 3.60 M33.
2. The PSAR can be checked against these MD5 and Size checks to make sure it is useable:
* Size: 18189502 bytes.
* MD5: EAA13343C70D9B0337C75B295 474C69A
2. Once done, place the 360.PSAR in the root of your memory stick.
3. Run the TimeMachine Installer and select the option which is ‘Install 3.60M33 (SLIM)’.
Both PSP’s
Installing 1.50 with 3.40 HW modules to the memory stickDownloads: 1.50 EBOOT (251), 3.40 EBOOT (153)
This will allow you to run 1.50 on the Slim.
1. Download both 1.50 EBOOT.PBP and 3.40 EBOOT.PBP from above.
2. Rename them from 1.50 EBOOT.PBP -> 150.PBP and 3.40 EBOOT.PBP -> 340.PBP.
3. Place both of the newly renamed eboot’s in the root of your memory stick.
4. You will need the 3.60 PSAR file which can only be obtained by the following method:
1. Run the program 360DUMPER that is found in the TimeMachine Files on a psp running 3.60 M33.
2. The PSAR can be checked against these MD5 and Size checks to make sure it is useable:
* Size: 18189502 bytes.
* MD5: EAA13343C70D9B0337C75B295 474C69A
5. Once done, place the 360.PSAR in the root of your memory stick.
6. Run the TimeMachine Installer and select the option which is ‘Installing 1.50 with 3.40 HW modules (PHAT & SLIM)’.
Part 3: Installing DDCv5Downloads: Despertar del Cementrio v5 (74),â 3.90 EBOOT (85), 1.50 EBOOT (251), 3.40 EBOOT (153)
1. Extract the downloaded ‘dc5.rar’ to your dekstop.
2. Copy the ‘dc5′ folder to ‘X:/PSP/GAME/’.
3. Rename the downloaded EBOOT.PBP’s to:
* 1.50 EBOOT -> 150.PBP
* 3.40 EBOOT -> 340.PBP
* 3.90 EBOOT -> 390.PBP
4. Copy the renamed EBOOT’s to the root of your memory stick.
5. If you didn’t install TimeMachine the last step, follow these 2 steps first:
* Create a folder called ‘TM’ on the root of your memory stick.
* Create a file called ‘config.txt’ in the TM folder, leave it blank.
6. Launch the installer from GAME > Memory stick.
7. Press cross to start the installation.
8. You will be asked to hold what button you want to use for loading DDCv5 on boot later, do so.
9. Wait for it to finish, and you’re done.

Part 4: Installing ELF menu and the USB FilesDownloads: Jas0nuk’s ELF Menu (57), RSPsar Dumper v3.2 (56), 1.50 EBOOT (251)
* Extract the ‘RSPsar Dumper v3.2.rar’ to your desktop.
* Place the folder named ‘RS’ in the root of your memory stick.
* Rename the 1.50 EBOOT.PBP to ‘EBOOT.PBP’.
* Place ‘EBOOT.PBP’ in the root of your memory stick (’X:/’).
* Create a folder called ‘elf’ in the root of your memory stick.
* Create a folder called ‘kd’ in the root of your memory stick.
* Place the folder named ‘RSPsarDumper’ in ‘X:/PSP/GAME/’.
* Run it from GAME > Memory Stick.
* Press square to dump decrypted.
* Toggle USB back on and enter X:/DUMP/F0/kd.
* Copy the following files to the clipboard:
o usb.prx
o usbstor.prx
o usbstormgr.prx
o usbstorms.prx
* Browse to X:/kd and paste the above files there.
* Browse to X:/TM/DC5/kd and copy ‘resurrection.elf’ from there.
* Browse to X:/elf and paste that ‘resurrection.elf’ there, rename it to ‘M33_Installer.elf’.
* Extract the Pandora ELF menu to the desktop.
* Copy the contents of the ‘kd’ folder inside there to X:/TM/DC5/kd.
Part 5: Finishing off
You can remove all files used in this guide, except these:
* X:/TM/
* X:/elf/
* X:/kd/
* X:/390.PBP
There is no point in keeping the other files, this way saves alot of space.
Using your Pandora
* Turn off your PSP fully.
* Remove your memory stick.
* Insert your memory stick.
* Start your PSP whilst holding one of these buttons:
o Cross: 1.50
o Circle: 1.50 modified for Slim support
o Triangle: 3.40 OE
o Square: 3.60 M33
o Button chose DDCv5: DDCv5
o Anything else: Will boot from internal NAND chip (requires 3.90 M33-2 or higher on the Slim)
Note: You can only use the TimeMachine options you actually installed.
Removing Pandora later
* Changing the Battery back to normal:
o Remove your battery and insert the AC Adapter.
o Turn the PSP on.
o Run Hellcat’s Pandora Installer Rev3b.
o Insert your Pandora’s battery.
o Press SQUARE to tunr the battery back to normal.
* Formatting:
o To format on a PSP, go to Settings > System Settings > Format Memory Stick.
