Connect the iPod to different computers and let it charge for a while. Also, as it's booting w/ the apple logo, press the menu button to force it to recovery mode. That may let you restore it. If all of that fails on any of the computers, you have a broken logic board. You can try to replace the part yourself, it is available on any auction website. There is an iPod nano Repair service that can fix it for you, but if you're a little tech savy you should use an iPod repair guide that teaches you how to do the repair yourself.
If the battery isn't fried you can try the following: I hope this helps and good luck.
Reset To reset your iPod nano (2nd generation):
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2.Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneouslyuntil the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need torepeat this step.
Tip:
Ifyou are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flatsurface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is nottouching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you arepressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and notnear the center.
Ifthe above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapterand plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPodto your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set togo to sleep.
Retry Retry your iPod with a different USB port on your computer, not a USB port on your keyboard or hub.
Restart Restart your computer, and make sure that you have the latest software updates installed. Note:
To update your Windows software, select Windows Update from the Tools menu of Internet Explorer.
