Problem for Shredder SH2006PB
Help my paper shredder is not working.
gentlemen,I have owned a DYNEX Paper Shredder Model # DX-OP1`02971 for about a year it was a gift from our kids.Lately it does not work in the on/auto position. It however works in the reverse position.Can I get this repaired or replaced by your personel without cost? I'm a seior Citizen (75 years young) on SociaLSecurity AND CAN'T AFFORD TO REPLACE IT.Can you help? Mr E.C.Bastian (eudarelcb@triton.net)

- dynex, model no:dxop7cc. My paper shredder is stuck with paper between blades. Won't reverse or go forward but there is shredding sounds with push of buttons. Paper pulled, pushed with no movemnet of jammed paper. All loose paper removed. What can I do?. Its fairly new and not used often. - lollymom29Apr 26, 2008
- I took apart the shredder and have full access to the switch. When first depressed the motor runs but only for a quick second and then stops (even though the switch is still depressed). You have to turn the unit off and on again (auto mode) to get it to work again but it's only for the one second, not continous. Any ideas?- eloahuApr 18, 2008
- Have a DYNEX paper shredder Model DX OP 102991, won't work in any mode. reverse or auto? Took apart, no apparent problem visible. Is there a fuse I am missing? When I plug it in to a known live power sorce, no sound at all, so don't think it is jammed Live in Colorado, unable to find a repair center. I personally work with Fellowes brand shredders, but it sounds like you have a paper feed sensor issue. This may be a mechanical or electronic sensor located in the center of the paper feed slot. If it is electronic it may just need cleaning(qtip dipped in rubbing alchohol. If it is a mechanical sensor check to make sure it has not been broken or it may be stuck because of paper that has become wedged behind it(you may need to jiggle the switch a few times to free it). If none of this works you may have a burned out switch or a bad pc board, contact manufacturer for more info.
