Connect all of the speaker wires and remote antenna and amp turn on leads first. connect the antenna coax and ground wire. then apply the memory and hot wires. if you experience ignition noise at low volumes cut the ground wire and let the headunit ground through the antenna jack (providing you don't have a floating ground system (i.e., if all speaker grounds are tied together)).

Should be safe to put in a new deck... most have a fuse on the bk power wire to protect against a power surge

My sony rear projection tv's red light started blinking 8 times, so I removed the high vltage splitter, so I needed to test the block. And you guys are sugesting for me to turn on the tv, now do I

Turn on very briefly and make sure the large red wire that entered the block is well away from any metal---if hear a frying sound and blink sequence is gone the block is bad( I used to put the wire into a old soda bottle as it has over 20 thousand volts coming out of it, much like the spark plug wires in a car---high voltage with low current.

I am pitiful - I don't know for sure how to wire

It depends on what type of lights you are wiring "in sequence" and what you want to accomplish. If they are all the same voltage (e.g., 120v standard bulbs) then they need to be wired in parallel. If you wire lights in series, the voltage you will need to supply to the string of lights will be the voltage of each light multiplied by the number of lights.

The Positive wire on the Battery was grounded on the body of the truck by accident and now the CD player well not work right. Or at all

Probably fried the transistors of the HU? First thing I would do is to check the fuse on the back of the deck. Hopefully that is all that was fried but if not you probably will need to buy another deck unless that is under warranty!

I need to know how to install a cd player in my 1997 jeep wrangler sport.

My suggestion would be to buy a wiring harness and a dash mounting kit. After that unscrew or pull out the console/dash part thats around your factory deck. Then unscrew the bolts/screws holding the factory one in place. Remove it. Plug the wiring harness into the factory wire plug. Pull harness wires through the mounting kit. Attach the corresponding colored wires from the harness to your new deck. Slide your deck into the mounting kit and secure it in place. Most decks have little prongs that you can pry up to **** up against the mounting kit so it wont slide out without pushing those down (makes it more secure and harder to steal). Place deck with mounting kit into area factory deck was. Put the screws/bolts back into place tightly. Place console/dash part back on. You will need the mounting kit (99% of new decks are smaller than the factory). Wiring harness is optional but recommended.

Wiring uv7i

you can use the deck without a remote, the only thing is you cant go into the system without the codes. there is a sequence code you must enter to disable it. there are a couple of videos on youtube but none for the uv7i. trust me, i 've been there on and off since the summertime. i am not sure if the sequence works due to me not hooking it up to external monitors but you can disable the blue screen with a on/off switch...only problem is, you'll have to do it everytime you turn your car on. here's what you do....
buy a on/off switch(radio shack $3)
hook the pink wire to one part of the switch-the other to the negative ground
put a dvd in(from what i hear, it must be store brought), wait unntil the blue screen comes up
turn the switch off...wait two seconds/turn on...wait two seconds/turn off...wait two seconds and turn back on. the blue screen is gone and video is on. ifyou still need the diagram, i'll scan mine for you.
