Although the connector problem you are experiencing is a simple one, it does require the ability to open the unit and access the problem area. It also requires technical expertise to diagnose if the connector can be soldered back or needs to be replaced. If you are technically inclined, there's agood chance you can do it. Otherwise, a repair shop is your best bet. Hope this helps. Let me know.
