Television The connecter for the cable broke off of the back of my TV it is aprox. 5 years old is there some way I can fix this or do I need to take it to a repair shop? Thank you Lynda Thomas

Hi Josh, Which Television are you trying to connect with your apple T.V. If the television is over 5 years old it is unlikely that it it would have an HDMI input. But if your T.V isn't older than 5 years i'm sure that you can use an HDMI connecter.

If your connector broke on the back of your TV you can get a new main board and replace the old one its a fairly simple repair.

In the menu, you need to change your Antenna setting from "Cable" to "Air" and hook up an antenna to it, then auto program the channels.

Sounds like the TV has lost the VIDEO and only has color. Make sure all the cables are secure and good. 2) Reset the TV by unplugging the TV or any BOX you have attached to TV. Unplug both from a/c for 3-5 minutes, plug back in and turn both on.
If no fix. Go to service Company that is Authorized and get an estimate, possible cost $450.00 +. Too many areas of concern to help you with particulars.

YOu will need a box that will convert your coaxial signal (cable) into a another using either Composite (RCA wires) or component (Yr,Yb, Yg) outputs. Your local radio shack should be able to accommodate you

It can be soldered back on. With that particular model, I don't know if the connector is connected to the tuner or if there is a litte square anteena box which then feed a cable to the tuner.

You have the TV set to cable. You need to go back into the menu. Go to the settings and change the setting where it says cable to AIR.
