Most of these complaints are the SSB board problems. else other possiblity is to reseat low signal card.

even after that problem is not solved means the product ias of low quality. just go and replace the defective product.

krispy, if you have no TV rePair experience, please play it safe and call out a
tech to assist you in this repair. A TV set is not a place to be
    experiementing around with,

Your problem could be the power supply or the light circuit could have
a fault. Does the sound go away at the same time? Yes I would quess
the power supply or the main board is bad. No? The bulb circuit most
likely is defective. These TV sets have no user replaceable parts
inside of them and should be diagnoised and repaired by a trained
technician. Good Luck, and let us know what was done to repair your TV.

i got this from another forum. check out this reply too.
Some times the problem is the front control board. There is a bad
connection on it, one or more of the tact switches are bad, or the
remote sensor is defective. Some time Its nothing more then a cold
solder connection in the sweep section of the Hi Voltage circuit, or
theres a small coil right off the horizontal drive transformer,
secondary side, thats also connected to the Base of the horizontal
output transistor, that needs to be taken out, the enamel on the leads
need to be scrapped off and reinserted and resoldered. Depending on the
model and how old the set is. Also theres several standup coils in the
horiontal sweep and corrections circuit that have poor solder
connections on them. And last but not least The power supply could have
bad connections or have an intermittant regulator componet. My bet
would be the small horizontal drive coil. The problem with the set
changing channels could be the remote controller. try taking out the
batteries first,if that dosent work then theres most likly a defective
infared sensor for the remote inside the set or the B+ that supplys the
voltage to the sensor is noisy such as a bad capacitor off that feed
supply. Now one thing to remember is safety with these sets. maybe,
before going inside a set, you should read this or Good Luck

You have a bad SSB module inside the set. It plugs in and could be easily removed by anyone with a little common sense. It is located (looking from the back into the chassis) on the left side and sticks up vertically and is about 5or6 inches by 3 inches and has a white wire ribbon plugged into it. The part number is PH3912725871 and costs about $99.00 plus shipping exchange at a parts distributor After installing you may have to reset the picture by going into the service menu on the remote press 0-6-2-5-9-6 then MENU

You must consider how good the picture is while it is playing before investing money. If you try to fix yourself please do unplug the power as you should well know.

The most likely problem is the SSB board because I have fixed the problem before with it. If I was going on a service call on this model I would be taking an SSB board with me!

Hi krispy,
Most of the times that happend is due to a bad power source.
Try unpluging it for some minutes, and plug it again.
If the problem continues check that the socket isnt shared by many devices. Connect the TV direclty to the socket and unplug any other devices.

    Hi again Krispy,
If you are sure its not a power problem, Then its an internal lose of high voltage
Then it can be either the SSB (small signal board), the flyback transformer, or the horizontal output driver. (both the flyback and the horizontal output)
That is very hard to repair, even if you ar a bit rxperienced in opening TVs, i recomend you to get prefecional assistance.

MY philips 42 inch plasma TV model 42pf3320/10 screen goes black after a few mins sometimes. what can i do to fix it???

Try changing the input device to something you are sure, works such as a DVD player.

Switch off TV manually, switch off power, remove plug and retry after 48 hours.

If problem persists, please refer it to a qualified service technician.

I need help tv plasma phillips

There is a firmware that can be updated via usb from philips. This fw was used to correct the tv powering on with no picture randomly (they called it a maintence session) but it was a problem. The tv would power on on its own and do this..

If that doesnt take care of your problem then the problem is with the main control board. or ssb
