95 nissan maxima 3.0. have replaced knock sensor

95 nissan maxima 3.0. have replaced knock sensor both 02 sensors, computer, and mass airflow sensor 3 times. the mass airflow sensor makes the car run right but it doesn't last it goes bad fast its been to the dealor 3 times and 2 other mechanics and has cost alot of money, i just replaced the mass air flow again it idles between 800 and 1100 rpms in park and 700 in drive. and sometimes it sounds like it has a high performance exhaust under the hood between 2000 and 2500 rpms while driving please help.

my 2000 nissan maxima is hesitating sometimes and sometimes dying. When idling down to low RPMs., it cuts off. Or, sometimes it doesnt want to idle at all and it dies. But, it doesnt do this all the time. Checked mass airflow censor but still not sure. is a 2002 mass airflow sensor compatible with a 2000 modile? Or could it be something like a vacuum leak, 02 sensor or something else?

I would have the charging system checked for over-voltage and AC ripple. There maybe a hidden wire harness problem if the charging system is okay. Wiggle test the wire harness while the engine is running to help locate the problem area. That is way to many parts replaced.

My maxima is dumping a lot of fuel in the system

would need more info but nine times out of ten afuel trim issue on these vehicles is due to an inaccurate mass airflow sensor.dry aftermarket air filters wreak havoc on these...the small paper fibers stick to the sensor element.so if this is your problem i would recommend using genuine nissan air filter and also your ecm will need to be reprogrammed by dealer for replacement countermeasure mass airflow sensor.you can try cleaning the sensor but i personally have had little to no success.

2001 Nissan Maxima Engine will start but won't rev up. If you push on the accelerator it will die. It does not really idle up to correct speed either.

I had that problem with my 02 Maxima and it was my mass airflow sensor. Not a cheap fix, about $550.00 from dealer or about $350.00 from auto parts store if they have one remanufactured.

I failed the emisson's test. I have a 97 Nissan

P0136 indicates a bad O2 sensor. This reports poor emission performance back to the car's PCM (computer)
P0325 indicates a bad "Knock" sensor which would adversely effect drivability as far as performance is concerned. Only way to fix these 2 problems is replacement of the 2 components.

How do I replace the mass airflow sensor on a 2004 Maxima?

The mass air flow sensor will be in the air intake going to the throttle body. Look for a 3-4" hose, trace that back to a box looking component. The sensor should be in there.

Where is coolant temp sensor and knock sensor on 95 nissan maxima

Mine usually stalled coming out the driveway. I went thru replacement of 6 coils and plugs with almost no improvement on my 2000 maxima. Ultimately the mass air flow sensor was replaced. All the engine codes from check engine light would make you think the engine needs overhaul, due to the nature of resultant bad engine performance. You can buy maf sensor $100 online. 5 minutes to install it. I tried cleaning it, but it made no difference until I replaced it. After that it was like 50 more horsepower.

My Nissan 99' is starting to hestitate and ****

The mass Air flow sensor is a good hit. Yes, it happens to alot of people. The maf tellsthe computer how much air is passing through the intake and in turn the computer provides the fuel needed proportionately. The less air, the less fuel. So, if the sensor if dirty and inaccurate the vehicle will run poorly and stall. The maf does get dirty and cleaning is a psrt of a tune up. Good Luck. Ned

Maxima starts but dies soon after. airflow sensor and ICE(?)valv

If you mean it starts and dies, starts and dies, the Mass air flow sensor is no good. If they replaced that, they should replace it again.

It should be on the top of the engine, normally under the intake towards the back of the engine, get the new sensor first so you have a visual reference of what the connector looks like

95 nissan maxima runs rough

i would change the knock sensor first. if that doesn't fix the problem then a complete tune up would be the next step. but if the sensor has no resistance that is where i would start
