LG 50PC1DR 50 in. Plasma HDTV Logo
Posted on Oct 28, 2009

I have an LG model 50PC1DR that is approximately 2 yers old. when i try to turn it on, i can hear it "hum" momentarily as the light flashes like it's trying to turn on. i can see just for a second on the screen "connecting to cable box" (which it's always done), then there's a "pop" and it turns off. it started this about a month ago, and now i cannot get it to come on at all. What a product...

I'm having exactly same problem. Not only I also other people have same issue. I dropped this heavy TV to the certified LG repair centre and the esimation cost for repair is $500.00 CDN. We decided to pick it up without the repair even we paid $100.00 just for the inspection.

My TV was working but no power at all now.
The repair centre says it's defact part so they are not responsible.
LG should recall this model.

4 year old 50PC1DRA LG Plasma tv. TV would come on after several tries, now will not turn on at all. Just clicks. From what I read here, could be power supple? Is a 4 year old TV worth putting that...

It's the capacitors on the power supply, it's a common problem, either buy a capacitor repair kit (yes they make them) and have a TV tech solder them on, or buy a new power supply board (about $200) and remove and replace it yourself (it's that easy)

LG DLE5977W dryer has stopped and developed a motor hum. How can I fix it?

I am assuming that the hum indicates the motor is running but the drum is not turning.  Possibly a broken drum belt however the check filter warning is indicating low air flow so the blower wheel could be broken at the connection to the motor shaft.

Tv won't turn on, power led just flashes

I have the same problem. After about 2 seconds the system status light blinks red and the system needs to be reset. The only way to turn the system on is to unplug from power for 5 minutes and then plug back in, wait for light to stop blinking and then turn on. I have cleaned the filter on the left side. The model is Mitsubishi WD-62725. any ideas?
