I have a Vizio plasma TV model P50HDTV20A that has experienced the pop of death. No, I can't return it. The audio works fine and the TV responds with the remote but I get no picture and no backlight. I have replaced the buffer boards and ran the TV for about ten minutes on these boards. I believe the problem is the Y-Main board on the TV. My question is do I need to buy new buffer boards when I replace the Y-Main board? If so is there anyway to check if my buffer boards have actually gone bad?

I was just given a vizio vp50hdtv20a with a mfg date of Nov 2007 that quit working. No little light on the front either. I heard the power supply board is suspected to be the cause. Can you advise? I took the back panel off and it looks like there's 7 connectors and I can have the power supply board off and replaced. If the PS is your guess, where can I get one and about how much? Any advise about doing this?
