Re: drum dropped

Are you able to lift the inner drum back into position ? If so then the culprit is most likely within the trunnion or spin bearing assemblies. Dis-assembly can be tricky but it is possible to do this yourself.

Sounds like your bearings are worn and need replacing... a horrible job. The frayed plastic may mean a new drum. To replace the bearings you must remove and separate the drum which requires removing the top, front, and back panels. Lots of clips, screws, hoses, wires.... I'd take it on if this were my unit; but for a client, I'd say get a new one. This is not uncommon for these units. Sorry.

Check presence a stranger subject in drum. Shine the torch and swing the drum.
If rubbish no that necessary to change the bearings.

My TAWS800JQ1 washing machine drum seems like it has shifted and is off balance

The bearings are likely shot. But it's possible the spanner nut that holds the basket in place is loose or damaged. Remove the agitator to check spanner nut. Changing bearings is a big job, but if you are handy with tools and good at keeping your cool you can do it yourself.

My Magtag Neptune TL 6800 started making a horrible squealing noise then smoke started coming out of the washer. What do you the problem may be?

You need to replace the belt needed to spin the drum. It sounds to me like you may have been overloading the drum, putting too much stress on the belt. Over time, it has begun to " burn rubber" as it spins, causing smoke, or worst case scenario, the motor that turns the belt is locking up as the drum spins causing friction on the belt.

Drum appears to be loose and makes a lot of noise when on the spin cycle

With the washer empty, spin the wash tub by hand. The drum should be spin true without any noticeable wobbling and spin without much noise. If it wobbles or makes any kind of rubbing or banging noise as you turn it by hand. The problem is that the spider support arms are broken. It is an expensive repair job since the washer has to be completely torn apart and the wash drum needs to be replaced. Get a few estimates before deciding whether to repair or replace. Sorry.

Washer dances out of control in spin cycle until it pulls cord out of wall. Makes a horrible noise.

have the transport bolts been removed? there will be some transport bolts and spacers to be removed from the back of the machine that holds the outer drum still.(3,4 or 5 depending on model, I am unfamiliar with this one) remove these and make sure the spacers drop clear from underneath, 1 for each bolt.

this is your that are gone these are at the back of your drum on the inside if these are gone then these will need replacing by a professional its a complete strip down aswell as stripping inner and outer drum apart from each other but this is a costly job £125+sometimes more economical to replace the washer only £100 more to get a new washer and have 12months warranty this way also if you have it done you will lose your washer for about 3days. to make sure they have gone take the lid off and look down to the middle of the drum at the back there should be some rusty water marks going down the drum also you can place your fingers to the inside of the washer while having your palm on the front of the washer if it lifts its the bearings from what you say though it will be the bearings m8
