If you had your linksys router controlling the DSL connection, it was most likely a PPPoe connection requiring a username and password. Most cable companies have dynamic IP address and do not require a username or password.
Open your internet browser, IE, Firefox etc and go to 192.168.1.1 > Enter your router username and password, typically admin and admin
In the setup tab, change your connection FROM whatever is listed there and make sure it is Autumatic DHCP Save your settings, and restart the router.

My Samsung Blu Ray BD1250 fails on the last connection test - the Internet Services test. When I connect the ethernet cable from the Blu Ray to the Linksys the connection test fails. If I bypass the Linksys and connect the Blu Ray directly to my DSL modem ethernet port all tests are successful and I can access the internet. Any ideas what setting on my Linksys is blocking the connection? I have the Blu Ray cable network setup for DHCP = on and DNS = Auto.
