For a built in appliance there usually isn't that much space around them and I can only find one product that says 1/8" is good on the sides....the back is no problem just the sides. I can't find the info anywhere just that they say 1/2" for the back.....I will call Jenn Air about it. Thanks

For proper air ciirculation its always good to have as much air circlation as possible that would in turn give your appliance longer life the least amount of space would be at least 2-3 inches all around.

Is there a standard size for a kitchen countertop?

A linear foot is 12 inches wide and 25 inches deep because the standard depth of kitchen countertops is 25 inches.
The Americans with Disabilities Act Accessible Guidelines state that space at least 30 inches wide should be accessible, meaning that wheelchair users can roll up to the counter to perform tasks. The counter should be between 28 and 34 inches high and accommodate a minimum 27-inch knee clearance below the counter, sink or cabinet space. Anything beyond the first 16 inches of counter depth, from the front edge, is considered dead space for wheelchair users.

What size should I get? Height 64 inches;32 inch width;26 inches deep.

The maximum size you get is determined by the space you have available after allowing for side and top ventilation which is critical to the functioning of the Refrig.

Allow at least 2-3 inches either side and 2-3 inches at the top if there are cupboards or shelving over the Refrig location.
measure out the maximum distance in depth you are happy with after allowing an inch or so clearance at the rear so you do not buy a unit that projects to far into the room space.
Then you can check manufacturer sizes and choose a frig brand that fits within that space you have measured out.

What is my clearance regulations for

Hello Donna;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

The critical clearance, especially with under the counter units is in the back. You need extra space between the back wall and the heat coming off the compressor. I like to see 3" minimum. The more the better. If you are not getting sufficient air flow in the back then, your cooling condenser coil fan will constantly run in a effort to dissipate the heat.
Most manufactures recommend 1-1/4" minimum on the sides.

Walk in freezer placed inside a room, condensate problems

no don't do that sounds like the drain tube going to the defrost pan is not in properly remove front grate and inspect to see if tube is off to one side if you completely seal the void that is required on operating frig's if has no air flow to cool the compressor will overheat and shorten the life or not cool properly

Frig not stayng cool. Freezer not freezing

most fridges have a evaporator dish or container.
it must be emptied ...and cleaned and disinfected.

now-a -days they are usually mated with the compressor and cool this unit down. notice there is no coil along the back of the fridge...it is usiually behind the fridge at the bottom with a cardboard or plastic access cover...
this will make the unit cool better and return the cooling to normal....
\next
clean out your freezer...i bet it's full of 4 month old packs of something you'll never eat....this will let the freezer breathe and circulate air to the coil ...i bet it has 3 in of ice on it...yikes...your not alone...most people do this...\
get a freezer if your getting ready for the apocalypse and liberate some room.
good luck

Vanguard blue heater

When installing these units there should be at least 36" clearance on the top, 8" clearance on sides, and 3" from the floor. If you have another question you can go to www.nbmc.com. I hope this helps!
