Hi Callie, as I don't know your vehicle as such, by rule of thumb there is a number of large fuses that are approx. 15mm square right next to the battery, they are in the same location as the relays, some push in but most in this block bolt in because they are such hi capacity, between 40 amp to 160 amp these supply power to the relays, actually everything in the car go through these fuses
The fuel pump relay in the 1991 corvette is located under the IP on the pass side.
Open pass door, unscrew two screws under the glovebox (you will be upside down in the car), take off the fuse panel, unscrew third screw to plastic plate underneath glovebox, pull away carpet (velcro), pull down plastic plate (watch out for the wiring to the lamp), then under the glovebox you will find a number of fuses and relays if you dive in under there DEEP, prob 4 or 5 in a row, not really sure wich one, but one in the middle is the fuel relay, and they are the same (interchangable).
Take a look at --the12volt.com/relays/relays.asp--
It´s those relays we are talking about.
the cooling fans are protected by fuses and relays. Usually there is a low speed and high speed setting or 2 fans with one on or both on depending on engine temp.
The engine computer controls the fan by reading the ECT, engine coolant temperature sensor. It then sends the signal to run the fans.
Also, whenever the a/c is on, the cooling fans operate.
Check your owner manual for location of fuse panels (2) and which fuses or relays to check.
