My web cam won't turn on

Sometimes my webcam will come on and other times it just won't turn on

I have the same problem

I know someone who can solve this problem

My HP Pavilion 9630ed on-board webcam will not produce an image after it has been working once during a session. Somehow the device appears to remain locked and is not accesible to other applications.
After rebooting the laptop i get another run. But only one.
I've tied upgrading the driver and reinstalling the Quickplay application.
No improvements.

The webcam is integrated, i called that 'on-board'.
Meanwhile HP support have provided a perfect solution by suggesting that the Quickplay application be removed from the windows startup sequence. The webcam is no longer locked and can be addressed at will.
