Re: Mic

Lots of times little bits of dust and stuff get into the hole where the mic is, try cleaning it with a que tip and some rubbing alcohol.

After cleaning, give it a couple mins to dry before turning it back on.

I had a mic hooked up with a usb and it was working perfect, then it stopped working and in accessory setting the input has my mics name but in fadded writing. Please help me

It sounds like the console isn't recognizing the mic anymore. This can be caused by an update, or if the system "loses" wherever the driver for your mic was on the hard drive. First try unplugging the mic, restarting the console without the mic in it, then shut down, plug in the mic, and start back up. If that hasn't fixed your problem, use your browser and go to the mic manufacturers website, and download a new driver if it has one.

My mic was working fine but now i cant talk how do i fix my mic

There are 3 things that may be happening here -
1. Your mic may be muted, try unmuting it.
2. You may have to unplug your mic, restart your xbox, and then plug your mic back in.
3. Your mic may be permanently broken and you may need a replacement.

Don't think the mic is working on my ds lite. how do i find out if it is or is not working

go into the settings menu of the game you are playing, and if you look around, you should find a mic test. blow into the mic, and if it responds, then your mic is working. if it doesnt, here is a website that you can buy a replacement for about 7 bucks.

Mic not working

most likely its not the mic. do you use earphones on your system. If you do then its the pins inside were the headphones go. When the pins get bent it stops the mic from working

Microphone not working

The microphone level can only be adjusted in certain games. Have you tried using the mic in any other games? Most likely, the mic is simply defective; I have heard of more than one case of manufacturing defects with Nintendo DS microphones. How long have you had the system? If it is still under warranty, Nintendo should fix the system for free.

My Nintendo microphone

My Nintendo ds lite also would not respond to voices. I have brain age 2 and Zelda. In the Zelda options there is a mic test. This will show a graph bar that measures your voice. Well the mic was not working at all for either game. I simply took out the battery and held the power slide for a couple seconds. Amazingly the mic works now for both games. I do not know if moving the power slide is significant, but on computers to de-static them you remove all power sources(battery and ac adapter) and hold the power button for 10 seconds.
