Problem for Uniden Cordless Phone

My Uniden answering machine and telephones cannot

My Uniden answering machine and telephones cannot get a dial tone, I tried the reset recommended with taking batteries out of phones and unpluging for 30 minutes but did not solve the problem. After the reset, I get the message,"please wait" but nothing happens.

has It been charged long enough and somthing I just found out tonight that the power cord must have enough power to make the base and phone work it tool me a month to find out But the power cord is the same brand as the phone so I assummed they belonged together but my phone needed 9v 300 ma
