Go to menu option and choose the option fax and set the parameter like auto receive or manual set the ring auto answer mode after certain ring. If it is in auto receiving mode it will receive the fax after the ring which you set. Make sure the phone wire which you insert in fax machine getting proper dial tone and getting out going calling facility. Have a nice day and do not forget to rate please...!
try switching the fax with a phone and calling... that phone with your cell... see if you have static... if you have static on the line... then call your phone company and have them fix the line... or try putting a magnet filter on the line... next reconnect your fax and call... if your phone line is ok... and it just keeps ringing.... adjust the ring wait time to 2.... if thats doesn't help... you have a bad mainboard...
that's right, you would be able to send fax,but wont be able to hear the fax tone, your fax ring shoud be 2 rings higher than answering machine,or else,do 1 thing when you hear the ring, just pick up the receiver u wud be able to hear the fax tone,do not disconnect the call, just keep the receiver aside without disconnecting, and then press start fax...you will be able to receive fax...........
If you dial a number and just hear ringing that means the other end is not answering. Even if a person or answering machine picked up the ringing would stop. The problem is at the other end.
Hello, I can send faxes from my HP Fax 1010, but cannot receive them. I can dial the number from another phone but it will keep ringing and the machine never picks up. We have tested the phone line and all seems well. Is there some setting on the fax machine itself that I need to change in order to receive? Any assistance you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
