I have a Gateway 838GM. It has 4 slots for RAM. It came with 1/2 gig RAM (2 sticks, 256 Megs each). I tried installing new RAM- 2 sticks, 1 gig each. If I replace the original 2 sticks, the computer...

Here are the specifications of the Gateway 838GM: You will have to replace the existing memory with thesesettings only: The machine comes with: 512 MB = 256 MB (removable) + 256 MB PC3200DDR SDRAM DIMMs. Supports Dual Channel DDR Nowyou can only upgrade to 4.0 Gig total. I would recommend going to this link and order the correct memory foryour computer I use them quite a bit. Rob

How to get psp games in memory chip

How to Put Games on a PSP MemoryCard

Because of the PSP's lack of onboard storage, most games that are downloadedfrom the PlayStation network must be stored on memory cards. However, this isnot necessarily a bad thing, as storing games on memory cards allows you tokeep games on different cards and swap them out at your leisure.

1. Go to the PlayStationStore on the PSP by clicking on the link in your cross-media bar. You will needto log in using your PlayStation Network ID. If you do not have one, you canget one by clicking on the "Get a PlayStation ID" button in thestore. 2. Browse for games. You canbrowse the PlayStation store by genre, title or release date. If you arelooking for something specific, you can also use the search bar at the top ofthe page. 3. Purchase points to pay forgames. If you have a credit card, you can purchase points from the storedirectly. If you do not have a credit card, you will have to go to a GameStopor Best Buy to purchase a card. After you purchase the card, you can add pointsto your account by going to the "redeem code" section of the store. 3. Insert your memory card. After deciding which game(s)you want to purchase, make sure you insert the memory card you want to use intothe memory card port on the side of the device. 4. Download the game. Click on the name of the game, andthen click on the "buy" icon. After your PlayStation Network pointshave been subtracted from your account, the download will start automatically.Do not turn off or reset your PSP while the download is in progress. You willsee a notifier pop-up when it is finished. Read more: How to PutGames on a PSP Memory Card '

My Psp still have it's contents but when i connect it to my PC and oepn it as a Removable Disk. There appears nothing. When i explore and go to TOOLS - Folder Options - Show all Hidden Files. There only...

Maybe the drive is partitioned into 2 or 3 partitions and only one is visible.
Try going into START -CONTROL PANEL - ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS - STORAGE and see what drives show up there. You may be able to assign a hidden drive a letter from there and it will be visible. NB Watch out though because changing the drive permanently may mean it wont work in the PSPwhen you put it back.

My son's psp (the older fat version) has stopped reading discs

Not sure is this actual PSP or play station. If it is Play station It is very possible that there is problem with laser that reads disks. Try to by PSP cleaner and run it and this might fix the issue.

My sons had this happen to him this morning... we tried to reset and hard reset... nothing worked... after seeing a bunch of postings about the laser, I used a pen to move move the laser with the unit off... I just pushed it sideways and slid it out of position a bit... anyway, it worked... it's almost like the laser was just stuck...
