If any one else is haveing a problem like this make sure you machine is not on quick boot, if it has this feature as i was pussled for to days installing xp on a machine that had quick boot it was installing and when it came to the time it had to reboot it would reboot and go though the install again i tried changing the ram hard drive but still no joy. until i found quick boot mode in bios settings i turned it off and i had my machine running xp withing a couple of hours.

I just went through a heck of a time installing WinXP on an M1. The machine kept shutting off in the DOS-based part of installation while copying files.

The solution was to press a key every few minutes as it seemed that the machine was going into sleep/shutdown mode.

Ok can you get into your bios, you can do that by pressing the F2 key or the Delete keys while your computers logo comes up when you first start it, Ok once there go into you boot sequence and make you Cd rom your first boot device and you hdd second. save and exit bios try starting computer now with OS disk now see if that works. If that don't work can you get to the F8 or F12 and either boot up to safemode or last known good configuration try that and see if that works for you, It sounds like something got deleted in you operating system, I am hoping its not in your Dos program. If so there is a solution out there I gave you can look at I left a link to a Dos program you can download.. If that still don't get you going let me know here again I'll do what I can to help you out Thanks for your patients,

Just wondering if your cd player needs to be cleaned or the cd may have scratchs on it, Have you tried to let is run for awhile and see what happens. Also are you getting something when you are booting up that says (boot from cd) press any key. Are you seeing that come up on your screen.... And Did you go into your bios and make the CD the number one in your boot sequence and your hard drive No 2 If you did that and saved you setting and then exit bios and put cd in shut down and start up It should ask you to press any key to boot from cd. and then press any key usually the enter key is what I press. once your compter starts it will go thur a new install process. of a fresh copy of windowns or you can try a repair too. I just looks like you need to install a fresh copy and if you do that it should install for you. If it don't please let me know and we can try another way to get you going. I sure hope this get you going here now . To get into your bios you have to press F2 key or it may be the Delete Key, 'When your first starting you system and see your logo come on the screen repeately press either one of those keys that should get you into bios and then just go to boot sequence select the cd rom as number 1 and hard drive as No.2. save setting reboot with OS in drive that should reinstall those missing elements in your pc Ok hope that gets you going let me know Thanks and Sorry your having troubles.

I am so sorry about your trouble I did some more research and seems you are missing so drivers either for Dos or Some other Files you need, I don't know how they got deleted but if you use the link Above, It should fix everything for you. But First You can try to reload your Dos Program. Make sure your Memory Modules are in and tight. Make sure there is no Express card or SD card in and after you reload your Dos program windows should load for you. I am still trying to find out what exactly is missing But some file ext. got lost somehow or corrupt, This should get you up and going once you have loaded. or your Dos file system 1st, Keep me posted if you would. And if that don't work, The Dos that is use the link above and that will help you out I am sure. Well at least I sure Hope It Does...

OH yeah one more thing when you are reinstalling windows are you doing a full system format or just a quick, If a quick one was used try the Format NTFS through take longer option. You are getting that when loading your operating system Right, Another Thing If you want to talk on yahoo messenger so I can understand a little more it may help to talk in person, bear350cid @ yahoo email and instant message with voice chat. I was wondering why if your doing an fresh copy and you format the hard drive why its not installing the files needed, Thats why I think it may be in the DOS program, I am probably just a frustrated as you are,, I Doubt it but that kind of stuff bothers me too.. Well If that don't work lets set something up chat wise on messenger, Talking sometimes you can get more accomplished

I cant install drivers

Go to the manufacturers website (nvidia) and download the most current driver for your 32-bit machine. If you have upgraded to a 64-bit processor your driver would be IA-86-32 (x86). Make sure you download the correct bit dor the driver

You do need a new driver for the new gforce but only nvidia can give you the correct one.

I Have Toshiba Tecra 8200 Laptop . N Hvng Problm When I Install XP In My Laptop An Error Appear on My Screen That CdBoot Error. Plz Tell Me How Can I Rid Off this error and install xp Awaiting of...

This item was designed fro use with Windows NT4 or Win2000 so XP may have driver errors.
If you have upgraded XP to SP3 try updates from Windows for a fix, otherwise re instalation of the original OS may be needed.
Have you run CHKDSK/F to check for hard drive errors? That is most likely to be the problem as if the drive is formatted to anything other than FAT32 you may be getting read errors.
Nice old machine. It will be a shame to have to ditch it.

I search for a driver for my laptop TOSHIBA T9000 MODEL N° PT900E-06QW3-FR

Drivers are dependent on the version of Windows installed. You can download from Toshiba support page but they may only work on XP or older. If you have installed a new OS, try installing XP drivers or search Windows update.

Click here to go to Toshiba driver download page. Drivers are for Tecra 9000.

Bluescreen is appearing after installing the os

Usual reason for blue screen after OS install is corrupted OS. It might have missed a file while installing or cd had a smudge or scratch on it. It rare occasions it can be hard drive it self. I would try to reload the OS but make sure CD is clean of dirt and scratches. Most times this will resolve issue. Also if you are installing higher version of OS on a pc that had Hardware that does not support new OS version. Like going from XP to Windows Vista or Windows 7. Sometimes you just cant upgrade even by doing new install since not all computer hardware is compatible with new OS. Some manufactures do this so you have to by new computer in order to get new Windows version. Hope this helps.

Toshiba tecra m2v s330

Try borrowing a compatible HDD instead of buying a third one for testing and check if the same error exists. Try also using an external DVD drive to see if your internal CD-ROM is defective. Try also using another Windows XP CD installer. You can also use other OS installation CD to check it. Otherwise, there is something wrong with your lappy's motherboard due to tear and wear, heat, vibration, misuse and shock.

Kernel data inpage error

It is best practice with a used computer to completely format and
clean-install Windows. In your case, this is what you definitely need to
do after performing some hardware diagnostics. Here are links that will
