hi,
My dryer doesn't seem to be getting clothes dry. This happened once before and when the technician came to fix it, all he did was open the back and reset a switch. Well now rather than pay that guy to come back I want to open it up myself and reset the switch. Problem is, I don't see that switch. Can anyone describe it or help me locate it?
Thanks,
Andy

The is for a WTA3500. Not sure if its the same as the 3510, but it couldn't be too different.
You have to remove the back cover. (Make sure the power is disconnected first, of course.) It's about a dozen screws, no big deal. Once the cover is off, you'll have a view of the heater unit and the blower. The heater unit is a box in the center of the drum with some wires running in and out. On that box is a circular black piece with a red button. Just push that button, and put your cover back on.
You should probably check for any obstructions in the exhaust channels that might have caused your dryer to over heat while you're at it.

Also, periodically scrub your lint filter with a toothbrush under water to get all the micro-lint out of it. I always cleaned by filter but not to this extent and had the same issue.

I have a WTA3500 and followed the instructions given here. It worked great! You'll need an Allen wrench to get the screws off and I took the opportunity to clean all the accumulated dust from under the cover (perhaps that's why the reset button was tripped?). It heats again and I just saved myself a $180-350 bill! Thanks, FixYa!
