Question about SanDisk Sansa e250 MP3 Player

1 Answer

SanDisk Sansa 260 MP3

I've own my player going on 2 years. Did not have a problem loading or unloading music in windows media player - until this weekend. Took off a bunch of christmas music and decided to format the drive to put new music on. The first problem was that it would not sync any music. So downdoaded a firmware update. Tried again to sync and it seemed to be fixed until I tried the player and the music was not there. The computer says it is and can see it on the player, in both the window media player and thru the link in my computer. WHAT DO YOU THINK IS HAPPENING? I can see the music on the sd mini and it will play from there.

Re: SanDisk Sansa 260 MP3

One thing to try is to update your Media Player to the latest version. IT may solve this problem.

Another thing to check is the Sync settings. Make sure you do not have it set to "Manual Sync" as this will not automatically transfer your music over to the player.

Cannot get music on or off of MP3 player.

The 260 you can remove the screws on back cover and remove the battery and replace to reset, not sure on the 250, you might also want to go their website and download the latest firmware updates.

"No Song" displayed even though music has been loaded, many times

The songs ripped from CD are not in the right format. In Windows Media Player, highlight the Rip tab, click the black arrow under the Rip tab, select Rip Options --> Format --> Mp3. Now, re-rip the songs. Before you transfer these tracks to the player, make sure you delete the tracks that are on the mp3 player now, or else Windows Media Player wil ltell you that the tracks are already there. Now, transfer the newly-ripped Mp3 tracks to your Sansa. Should be good to go.

Sansa bad track

You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media1.gif, music and delete them from there.
Either under sync pane in windows media player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click delete.
Hope this helps
If you still not able to delete it let me know so I can have you try something else...
P.S.Please rate accordingly...
Thank You

My device has got locked

You cannot see the music under Windows Media Player? If you transferred the music on another computer and the music does not "reside" on the PC you are connecting to, you will not be able to see them. You can go to My Computer and double-click on the Device Name (Sansa m230) to open up the contents to "manually" manage the music. Best of Luck.
