Problem for Canon Pixma MP500 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Nozzle for large (#5) ink is clogged and repeated

nozzle for large (#5) ink is clogged and repeated deep cleaning does not unclog. How can I get the nozzle clean? I'm not sure how to reach the nozzle... Thought I could maybe wipe it off with alcohol. Any suggestions? I have gone through a whole container of the ink doing repeated deep cleanings... not to mention it also seems to be using up my cyan at the same rate even though I only have it clean the black.

Remove the cartridge. Take a paper towel and dampen it. Place the towel in the microwave and get it really hot. Draw the cartridge head over it 7 to 10 times until ink starts to flow. Now, take a dry paper towel and draw the head over it the same amount of times to make sure it is dry.
