I have a MP600. The first few pics I printed turned out very well. Recently, my photos are printing very pixilated and look terrible. I notice it the most on portions of the picture that should print black or shadowed. I've tried numerous maintainance options (deep cleaning, nozzle check), and everything seems to come out fine. Any thoughts?
Hi i am a certified Canon repair tech for this printer. the reason for this problem is the printhead. what happens is when the printer is new the printhead has little mirco nozels that the ink goes through. when the printhead gets older the nozels get smaller and smaller causing problems. the first thing i would do is replace the printhead that can be ordered from Canon direct at 1-800-OK-CANON or their website or a canon service center. hope this helps.

Whats the question?? if poor quality printing, it could be dirty ink cartridges, dirt on the print head, poor quality paper ??? try looking at the printer settings, sometimes they may be set to economy rather than top quality printing.
You can download the manual from Software & Downloads here.
Then work through this article and see here to diagnose the printing problem. Make sure the print quality is set for photos in the print preferences or properties.
You might try cleaning the cartridge contacts as described here.
Make sure you are using a good quality paper, that it is feeding correctly,
I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread. If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!
Paper quality does make a difference in the quality of print, but it's usually in the areas of blurriness and vibrance. If your prints are coming out faded, the quality for your prints might be set to 'economy', which doesn't use very much ink. If you have it set for 'quality' prints, I would try replacing the ink cartridges.

Yes the HP Deskjet D2360 will print pics. If you want to print photo quality, make sure your ink cartridges are in good shape and obtain photo quality paper.
You can actually print pictures on almost all printer paper but if you want a good result, I would suggest you look online for inkjet photo A4 photo paper.
Paper can be obtained in a number of finishes. For example Glossy, Silk, Matt and so on. If you just want reasonable quality for a school project or something, then a good quality non photo paper may be good enough for you.
Paper also comes in different thickness or weights. This is determined by the paper's GSM. For example: 80gsm is normal photocopier paper. A good quality photo paper would be 140gsm or 160gsm. When looking for paper online you'll see the GSM shown. It really is your personal choice. There are heaps of suppliers on the internet. Amazon do a good range.
You can also set your printer for various levels of quality. A rule of thumb is, the bettter the quality, the more ink you will use.
