MS8137C+ Power up problem, no bios or display

The mother board is 4 years old, and development a fault which has got progressively worse over a matter of 2/3 days. On power up the power light flashes instead of staying on, and there is no display, no bios display etc. I have removed everything apart from the memory and grphis card both of which I have changed. I have wiggle all connectors, but am coming to the conclusion it's time for something new.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thank you PaulC

Have you swapped out the power supply?

Sounds like it on its way out...

Hello sir hi, try cleaning the memory modules of your PC. also review your power supply connection. and check the following sequence of events. 1. power on the PC. 2. fan should be blowing. 3. keyboard light, scroll, numlock and capslock lit and then goes off. (if this does not lit, you have a mother board problem) 4. you should hear a beep. (1 beep is normal, 1 long and 2or3 short beeps, means display problem) 5. the numlock is lit. (no light means problem on the motherboard) 6. the display monitor will now display the CMOS. 7. your drive should turn/spin or HD led lights.
Im not so sure if the motherboard develops errors due to being not used for a long time, and may now have slimes and battery leaks that may be present on the board, a visual inspection is needed here, remove your motherboard out of the case and inspect all area for chemical creeps.

Bios flash

firstly i want to tell you that every motherbord bios has a unique program to control the devices.
it this bios is fit on another board casing then you try to firstly run the mother board with old bios. then copy the bios code by any flashing tool and then remove this bios and fit the dead mother board bios in the casing then flash it and then update it which file you copy the old one.
then your motherboard perhaps go on with the dead motherboard bios.

Yes, if replacing the cmos battery does not solve it, then maybe the power supply also is faulty.

No display (intel original 865 ..)

Tell me the Mother Board Chipset & Oper.Sys you are using.

Try to change power settings in bios if it not works try to set bios optimal defaults, if it not you have to update BIOS.

Hope this will be helpful..
