IssueThe HP

IssueThe
HP printer software installation fails to run in Windows 7 on a
computer with an AMD C-50, C-60, or Z-01 1.00 GHz processor. After you
insert the HP printer software installation CD or run the driver
installation downloaded from the HP website, the setup does not open.
You might receive an "HP Installer Setup has stopped working" error
message.

Preliminary stepThe
solution in this document resolves software installation issues only
for Windows 7 computers with an AMD C-50, C-60, or Z-01 1.00 GHz
processor.
- On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon (
), right-click Computer
, and then click Properties
.
- In the System
section under Processor
, find the manufacturer, model, and speed (GHz) of the processor.
If your computer runs an AMD C-50, C-60, or Z-01 1.00 GHz processor, continue with the steps in the following solution.
SolutionFollow these steps to download and install the newest,
full-feature version
of your HP printer software. Then, download and install a software patch to complete the installation.
