I have recently installed a window 7, but software cd which i have of hp f4288, that is the old version, that is not installing on this window what should i do now/

1. On the Windows taskbar, click the Windows icon ( ), right-click Computer , and then click Properties .
2. In the System section under Processor , find the manufacturer, model, and speed (GHz) of the processor.

If your computer runs an AMD C-50, C-60, or Z-01 1.00 GHz processor, continue with the steps in the following solution.SolutionFollow these steps to download and install the newest, full-feature version of your HP printer software. Then, download and install a software patch to complete the installation.Step one: Download the softwareNOTE:You must download the Full Feature software to resolve the installation issue.

Make sure the new Windows you are installing is the same version as your old one.

If you ahve teh software installed, right click the icon and select the properties option then locate the tab that has the option to run in compatibility mode. Set the software to run in Windows XP or Vista compatibility. If it is stopping the installation, right click the installation file and tell it to run in compatibility mode with a previous version of windows to install.

Check again on HP's web site for Updated firmware for the printer, as well as an updated version of the software package that supports Windows 7-64 bit.

You should uninstall the other version first, reboot, then install the new version.

I am sorry but i have had problem posting links here.

I just searched google for "hp deskjet f4288 drivers for windows 7"
and took the first link, which was the official hp website.
Then i navigated to the drivers download page for your particular printer.
and for driver download, there was an option to select the operating system for which i needed the drivers. There were both Windows 7 32 bit and Windows 7 64 bit as options there.
So, It has to work.
If it doesn't HP customer care will help you.

Launch this Wizard, and tell Windows that you want to install a Windows XP application.
Point to the CD-ROM containing the software, and install it.

First, uninstall the printer software that was installed from the CD. Next, download the latest driver from http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010093.asp. If your laptop is new is is probably 64 bit. Make sure that you download and install the 64 bit version. The default versions on the CD and from most download sites is the older 32 bit version.

You may ask your Singer supplier about Futura 2.5, this version of the software supports old machine models ce100/200, contains more features like the software for newer machine models and works under new OS including Windows 7.

win 7 didn't found any suitable driver? if yes, than you don't need to install any driver, if not, than try vista drivers and run them in compatibility mod with vista - right click on setup, select properties and you'll find it
