I bought a house last year (1920's) it was owned by an electrician. It has a hunter fan/light. The wall switch has a guard on it so not to be used to turn on the fan. The fan is controlled by a remote. It was working fine until 1 week ago. I went to turn it on and nothing happened. I changed the battery in the remote first. Then I saw the little switches in the remote and started moving them in case one moved by accident since I last used the remote. It did not work still. Then I noticed the remote was a Hampton bay remote and not a Hunter remote. What next????

I am trying to decide whether to purchase Fanimation Belleria FP4320 with finish that is discontinued Aged Copper. When I asked the vendor via email if it had option for light kit, they said "no". I thought this model FP4320 had option for light kit even if this particular vendor did not sell. I cannot buy if I cannot attach a light kit that is available from another vendor for this model. Can anyone confirm this?
Also what is recommendation for this model.

The ceiling rose has four wires; red, black, green and white. Only the white wire is single - the others are twisted with another wire of the same colour to do the circuit in parallel. The new light fitting I am installing has three inlet for wires labelled L, N and E. Leaving the white wire out leaves the light on whether the switch is off or on. What is the solution?
