My printer has suddenly started behaving strangely. Printing ok until yesterday when the corner of a peice of paper tore off. It finished the print job and I removed the scrap of paper, now the carriage that holds the print cartridges moves quickly to the middle and then slams back to the left hand side . After that it either does it a few more times or the power light starts to flash and it remains unresponsive. There is no connection being made between the computer and the printer. I've taken off the cover and can't se any obvious damage to any components, gears etc, all wiring seems intact. Any ideas about how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.
