the problem with my tv is that there is a red and green ghost at the bottom of the tv.

I have the same problem

I know someone who can solve this problem

I bought a brand new 42 inch Samsung plasma tv PS42 - QTHD about a year ago. I've hardly used it, but now, when i've been watching it for about 2 hours around the screen in different places large blue hazes or ghost like looking things appear. Its worse when its dark on screen. I've tried all the screen protection option but no look. Only thing that helps is if i turn the tv of for about an hour, but when i turn it back on after 2 hour it appears again. please tell us what you can cheers Kevin.

Kevinsul,
If your information is correct on the type of set you have meaning Plasma, you might have a defective display panel, in that case check your warranty on the plasma display (pdl). The other side of the coin could be a x bottom left or right panels. If I were working on it I would scope the y and z sustain panels for proper waveforms. I wish there was an easy answer for you but there isn't.

The ghost might be fix by replacing the stk chips. I posted the instruction in here http://www.fixya.com/support/t209258-panasonic_pt_47wx53_g

For Kevinsul, I believe this same chips over heat which degrade it's performance. When U said things, if you mean like spots then I don't believe it is this chip. But if you mean long strips ghost or lines then it's likely this chip problem.
