Pioneer DVD-105 1.22

I'm having the same prob, but mine is locked in region 1 (changed 4 times
already), is it too late to use firmware to unlock it?  also, did you use
1.22 or 1.33?

It still may work ... my drive was initially on firmware 1.33 (region
locked). I used the firmware on that page (hacked 1.22), and it unlocked
fine though now my drive is listed as 1.22 under windows.

I'm not even sure why the drive was 1.33 or what 1.33 actually does as
compared to 1.22. I went to the Pioneer firmware page to see what it does
but according to their website, 1.22 is the latest upgrade. So I said what
the hell, I'd rather have region unlock than run a 'latest' firmware that I
don't even know what it does.

Make sure you get the correct firmware for your drive!!!

My drive is the Pioneer 105s (maybe your model too? The slot in one). I
successfully patched it to region free using the firmware on the above site.
Works great! But follow instructions to the letter (use real dos mode to
patch).
