If the LCD screen is cracked then the LCD screen needs to be replaced.
If the screen has a backlight problem then the fault could be a faulty inverter that supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp, or the CCFL lamp is faulty. These items are cheaper to replace than the whole LCD screen.

i guess the motherboard has gone bad!
try reseating the RAM and check, if it starts working then you are lucky or else..... u need to replace the motherboard.

Unfortunately, (Isay that a lot on this site), your lcd screen is backlit with tiny flourescent lights, sounds like these have been broken not much to do except talk to a local tech and hope that he has an lcd screen to swap or steal parts from.
Sorry my prognosis is not better...
