Not acquire sattelites

try a reset i beieve there is a reset button in the battery conpartment.

the chip set in it is damaged.you want to go to a servicing center to repair it.

When you change geographical locations with any GPS it will take a lot longer for the GPS to acquire the sattelites. Hold the GPS out in an unobstructed area and switch it on. Be patient it will acqurie the signals if it was working before you left home.

Update/Reload your unit's GPS and sytem software via Garmin page or use Web Updater. Your unit will be functioning again. This problem also occurs if you leave your unit on a dash board in a car and it is exposed to hight temperature.

Then I assume it just can't get the signals.

and download the webupdater and follow the instructions

I found the solution that fixed my 60CSx. You need to make sure you have the latest chipset installed on your device. Go to

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/store/downloadsUpdates.jsp?product=010-00422-00&cID=145&pID=310

and download the chipset type G ver 2.9.

After you have loaded it on your 60CSx, you should be good to go. Just turn it on like you normally do and now you'll see your device retrieving locks w/ the satellites.
