Question about Projection Televisions

How do I get HD broadcasts on a Phillips 60PP9352 TV that's 'HD ready'?

I purchased a Phillips Rear-projection HDTV Monitor in 2002. Since they are now broadcasting in HD, how do I receive the HD signal on my TV? We have an antenna, no cable, no satellite.

Also, bought the kids a PS3 with blue do I connect that to the Phillips for HD?

Any help or suggestions are SO welcome!

Im guessing your in the UK.
Asking about HD as you havent stated what country you are in.

Ok You will need the following to be able to watch HD pictures on your tv set.
Either Sky HD which involves having a dish fitted. Or Virgin cable system which is not available all over the country.
If you go to either of these systems you will need to pay a subscription to view the HD channels.

Is this tv hd ready?

Yes, it should be HD ready. There should be a small label on the front of the TV if so (provided it has not been removed). You will need a HD cable box, convertor or HD satellite box (Direct TV or Dish Network) to view HD broadcasts (even from free over-the-air HD broadcasts if you live within range of a local broadcasting station). I had the same, or very similar TV but upgraded to flat screen plasma set.

Yes, you will need a HDTV converter box. Your set does not have a ATSC tuner that recieves HDTV signal. Your HD signal will be thru your Component Inputs on the rear jack panel along with audio IN.

Need help locating a box to make my TV receive true HDTV

You Dont need one your set is HD. So when the switch happens you are good to go. The only TVs that are going to need converter boxes is those who do not have HD or only have antenna.

Connecting TV to cable service for HDTV

normally you need a converter box for hd because normal stations are broadcasted in hd.....its not common enough for them to do it...and you probably have to buy a package with your cable company for the hd channels. another your tv hd ready?
