Sounds like someone requested A4 size paper in a print job instead of the normal Letter size paper...
Try putting regular letter size paper in the bypass tray and then set it up as A4 size...the print job should then print out on that paper.
This means that the printer is expecting A4 paper rather than letter size or whatever you are trying to use. Check your "Printer Options" on your computer and make sure that the appropriate paper size is selected. A4 is an international standard paper size that is 210 mm (8.27 inches) x 297 mm (11.7 inches) and therefore is just a bit narrower and longer than the American "letter" paper size.
To correct this, cancel the print job currently in the printer's memory, change the computer to the proper paper size, and send the print job again.
The paper you have inserted into the printer, and your page size settings have to match. You can't load A4 paper and tell it to print A5 size. This is why it is printing so small on the A4 paper. It assumes you need to trim it down to A5 size after printing.
Hi The A4 paper size is an internationally used paper format. Although not often used in America, it is by far the most commonly and widely circulated paper size. At 8 1/4 inches by 11 3/4 inches, it is similar though not quite identical to the American standard U.S. letter size, which is 8 1/2 inches by 11 inches. Because of its ubiquity, all printers and programs have the ability to handle the size, and getting a printer to print to it is a matter of adjusting the settings.Put the A4 sized paper into the automatic feeder in the printer. You may have to adjust the tray guides to fit the paper in snugly. Close the tray firmly when finished.
Step 2.Set the printer to register the A4 sized paper inside the the tray. This varies from printer to printer but generally involves going into the print menu, scrolling to the automatic feeder and designating the tray as an A4 tray.Step 3.Select "File" and then "Page setup" in the program you are using.Step 4.lick on the drop down menu next to paper size and choose "A4.Step 5.Select "File" and then "Print." Click the "Print Summary" button to ensure the file is set to print to the A4 size.
Hi rmfgco2009 A4 paper is 8.3"x11.7" OR 210x297 Letter size is 8.5"x11" OR 216x279
So your paper is called LETTER size not A4 What you have to do is;
On the LCD display of the printer, through the SETUP, change the paper size from A4 to LETTER. Save the settings and Exit.
Also, From the Control Panel, printers, properties, preferences, features change the paper size to LETTER. This step can be done from EXCEl also through the printer menu.
You may need to Turn the printer off and on again.
Hope this will work for you. If this solution is helpful, please give a rating. Have a Good Day luciana44
