Audio starts to breakup and then it goes out and when it comes back it comes back breaking up

Hi if the cord fits the kettle and the television then great, They both run off the same electricity current meaning the electricity won't harm television or cord... Smart kid :)

The usual cause of pixel breakup, of all TV's, is a poor signal coming into the TV.

THis sounds like you have ether a bad modem router or connection. You will not notice it with a webpage but VOIP uses UDP a real time and stateless. Which in a nut shell means the phone send a stream of data and dosen't care if the other end gets it or not it just sends. If you have a bad connection to the internet the phone will get interminit packet loss aka: audio breakup. So to debug and fix this.

First eliminate the variables:
Connect the Phone Directly to the Internet Providers Modem.

Reset or power cycle the modem.

Try to call out.

If it is still breaking up contact your isp for support.

If the router is the Cause of the issues:

Try to go to Dlink.com and flash the newest firm ware to the router.

If that dosen't resolve it you may need to get a new router. I recomend a linksys router as they tend to last about 3-5 years.

You may have an electronic control module failing. (ignition module).

The RPM signal comes thru it.

Also if the crank sensor is dropping out the engine will act like its shutting off and catching which would also cause the rpm to drop out.

If the lamp fails to fire yes you will loose audio as well.

Took it to a Philips Service Centre. The hard disk was faulty so it is tobe replaced.

My first gut tells me that this is a power supply problem. The power supply runs out of capacity due to the increased load of the audio amp. Possible problems might be power supply capacitors have changed their value (lowered), if it has a linear power supply, the full wave bridge (that converts AC to DC)might have a bad diode, if it is a switching power supply one or more of the output capacitors may actually be open. Another possible problem is a cold solder joint. Does the picture breakup occur when the case is slapped? This could indicate a mechanical failure (like a solder joint). Is this the only symptom that this set has?

What happens to the audio when you play the tape in another machine? Does it still drop out? Check the tape visually when it has no sound and see if the edge of the tape is creased. Also is the picture OK when the sound goes off. Does it jump around ans lose sync. If it does it means that the tape is mistracking. It's possible for the tape guides to go out of alignment but usually this is accompanied by picture breakup too. If you've never done it before don't attempt to realign the guides youself, you can really put it out of alighnment and it will damage the tape. Is the microphone built in or removeable? if it's the latter then check the connections and make sure nothing's broken. If there's a switch to go from internal mic to external mic see if it's switched to the proper position, it could be half way between internal and external. I'm opting for a tape problem, Either way a trip to a repair shop may be the best bet. BMW
