You don't install a router - it's a self contained computer in its own right. You just connect to it.
Changing your ISP does not affect your ability to connect to your router. It affects your router's ability to connect to the internet.
All it needs is your new user login and password for the new ISP and that's it. - It might need DNS numbers as well but probably not.
You change it by logging in to the router as if it was a web site. You find its address either by looking at the bottom of the router or, if it's not printed there, by opening your network settings and looking to see what the router IP address is. Whatever you do,. DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING THERE.
When you get into the router,(you will probably have to get past the gatekeeper - generally it's admin and admin) look for the section (it will be 2 boxes) that ask for your username at password. The username will have your old username from the previous ISP. Change that and change the password to the new one, click apply and that should be it. Check by opening another web page (do not close the first) and see if you get your home page. If you don't, you may have to restart the router. Turn it off for a moment at the wall and then turn it back on and wait for the lights to settle. Then check a web site again.

Changing internet providers should not interfere with router operation. Just make sure that your Basic Settings include having the router get its IP from the ISP, dynamically. Your IP will indeed change from ISP to ISP, so let the router accept whatever IP the ISP wants to assign. You do NOT need new installation.
