Lifeview FlyDVB-T Hybrid

I installed such a a card into a cumputer with XP Pro Sp2, 1GB ram, AMD Duron 1,3Ghz. The problem is that, even if the driver installation procedure says: driver installed ok, named AVHybrid media, the program doesn't work. I get a message TV CARD NOT FOUND. If I check in peripheral manager I find a multimedia controller with problem(it is) but when i try to reinstall the driver I get the message that it is already installed. Can anybody help me?

- Thanks for the help, but it's not enough! In details, when I install the driver from installation CD or from the file downloaded from Lifeview site (vers. 13.35.04.451), the wizard procedure ends telling that it cannot find the sw and so canot install it. I go to My computer-Peripherals manager and I find a device named Multimedia controller with a yellow question mark a side (it is the TV card!); in details it shows these informations: device unknown, manufacturer unkown, PCI slot PCI 3, status The peripheral driver was not installed (error code 28). To solve the prblem reinstall the driver, it says. I go to do that, but I get the message: no peripheral to update (specifing driver name AVHybrid MEDIA 13.35.04.451).
That's all! I don't known how to proceed.

So thanks in advance!

Paolo

delete the controller in the device manager and reboot your computer.

If that does not work, please add a little more information, ie. what the device manager shows when you open the properties for the controller.

- Ok, once again.
Delete the controller from the device manager.

DO NOT TRY TO UPDATE THE DRIVER

reboot your computer,
You will get a message that new hardware has been found, and it will procede to install the drivers for the device, at which time you may direct it to the cd or to the downloaded file.

I cannot think of a single time that updating the driver through the device manager has worked. Even if the wizard does run and you do have updated drivers, the program will tell you that the best driver is already installed. It's best to just delete the device from the manager altogether, and then when you reboot, windows will automatically detect the device and begin the add new hardware wizard.

- If you delete the device from the device manager and windows does not detect the device on rebooting, then you need to check that the card is installed and seated properly.

Try another slot if available.

Have the card tested to verify it's good.
