Popup keeps flashing - "processing auto configuration" how do I get rid of it?

joking, buy a real computer at best buy?
I\'M not sure if it is just? the monitor, (i dont thinks, so or the PC)
you can plug the monitor in to another PC to sort that question easy.
test the monitor if it is good, great, if not get a new one.

good monitor, read on.

that is my pet peeve too, pop ups. that don\'t say WHO DID THE POP UP. bad programmers do that, even MS.
frustrating it is....
the question is, who is processing.?.... dang"

my guess ?is windoz. (or APPS)
if it is windows, and not some APP.?
then set MS updates to off. see if that makes it stop.
if not , then it must be an APP, or Antivirus software running.
each APP or A/V can be configured to shut up. It is true.
most lap tops or emach, are set up with full nags.,etc.
No one ive seen that do this, bad act, can I STAND.!

the first thing i do on them, is remove all that junk.
I build my own systems. to avoid that. but....
I\'d slick the drive and put on W8 , fresh.
but what to do baring , that... idea...

let me give an example of my silly HP. net book (all HP puters have this)
they all have HP software loaded. (some good, some bad, some ugly)
I go in and remove all the HP agents and all nagware, and all HP
scanners, and other junk, leaving only legit , full version needed software.
I remove office as it is crippleware; as most are.
This is not HP only tricks, all other makers,do this junk.

after you get all this working, then turn on only, MS critical updates
but do have it , ask ME , first. option, in control panel.
then and only then, can you do work and stop the side tracking.....

join a forum for your lap top or emach.
do not turn off , HP recovery service or its special partition or support. this takes skill to do all this.

the maker of your PC has a forum, ive never seen one that does
not cover this topic, most have a nice list.(what to kill)
we call this bloatware and is hated by all.
good luck to you.
dont forget, you can barrow a spark monitor and connect
it to the emach , to see if it is :
Apps (A.V)
or the monitor.

Hp vista and monitor hp2509 was working fine. i uninstalled monitor driver but now computer starts fine but monitor goes blank

Monitor drivers are built into windows OS, you can't uninstall the driver unless you went to devise MGR, monitor, and opened proprieties and hit uninstall, and even then when you restart windows, it will auto reinstall the hardware. So what you're saying does not make sense.

If you reboot and noting, try a system restore, if you have a windows disk, then run repair. But like I said, you don't install monitor drivers, DVD rom drivers, these are generic drivers that are made into windows. If you think a monitor has a driver that needs installing, explain how people install windows if they couldn't see the monitor.

Only onboard video and graph cards need drivers to run the video at its intended resolution, but it does not need a driver for the monitor, it's built into windows.

I have an old Princeton VL 173 that I had been using with an old computer running Windows XP Pro. It works fine. Got a computer with an Asus MB and a Intel Core 2 Quad running Windows 7 Home Premium...

It sounds like a driver/software issue. When you ran the Princeton VL173 on XP you probably had all the correct software for your video card and the correct drivers to support your video output. When you changes OS to Windows 7, the XP drivers are no longer in place. My best guess is that you need to find and install the correct drivers for your system video and for your video card that are Windows 7 compatible. The old XP drivers will not work in Windows 7.

I am running XP with a Princeton VL173. It works great. I identified the correct video drivers for my system and installed them. My video card is nVidia 8800GT. I downloaded and installed the latest software from nVidia and installed it. It runs like a champ.

Several months ago my display died. It was just blank -- black. I tried using a power supply (AC adapter) from an old HP printer that died, and it worked! The plugs were identical, and the power output profiles were very nearly identical. It has been rinnung great for many months now.

I hope this helps.

My hp pavilion mx70 is running so slow

The issue can be caused by many many reasons such as outdated hardware, overload startup programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources, remnants of uninstalled applications etc. The fact is, you should keep some system maintenance job regularly. If you don't want to do these manually, try the solution:

Meanwhile, upgrading hardware configuration (add RAM, change a new video card, larger-volume HDD etc) can be a fast yet effective way to improve your pc performance. But that won't be the most economical way, as you know you can't always afford to do that.

Monitor won't turn on after power interruption

First check all your (computer) connections especially the monitor. If connections are secure, it may just be an application or registry problem. Uninstall the LG monitor software, then reinstall it. If you're referring to getting into the computer case, locate the "thumb screws" at the rear of the case (may be one top and one bottom) loosen screws then slice side panel from case.
To keep your system running lean, clean, and smooth, install Piriform CCleaner, a free app for home users. It's excellent!

If it was working fine why install additional software? Try booting into safe mode and uninstalling the software or drivers.

Acer AL1716W LCD software won't boot up

I doubt this is related to your monitor since it is only there to display things..nothing more.
More like a random coincidence then anything.
Reinstall your HP application and try again. If that fails, then uninstall it and then reinstall it.

The process you see running is the DLL's related to the program, not the program itself. If it is a program you run, then it should appear next to your login name in the list. If it is next to system then it is just the core of the program that is probably loading when Windows starts.
