Question about Gateway GT5220 PC Desktop

Should i get rid of this gateway

I own a Gateway Desktop GT5220 Desktop I'm thinking about selling it after had to deal with there tech support and had to send it in for repair i dont think its worth keeping any suggestion

Before getting rid think twice. Because the value you for second selling is very low, Buying a new one is quite an asset. If the problem you had is minor i suggest to keep it otherwise (Problem with motherboard, processor) then get rid of it.

You will need the recovery disk.
Gateway does sell them but before you but the disk, Please Click Here
This will help you recover your computer without a disk, it is a longer process

Want to remove my hard drive before I recycle my computer


Open the two sides . Remove the wiring frm the hard driver. Remove the hard drive from the cage.

I don't think that's practically possible until you have to do it through the hardware inside..
However you may do some manipulation to the power plan of the computer system..

I have a dvd-cd-rw from my old computer & want to put it in my new gateway.Will that void the 1year warrenty? And I have an analog camcorder and want to find out about a tv tuner card


Only gateway can let u know if it will void the warranty. Check there policy on upgrades in your warranty information first, if you area skilled tech i don't think it will be a problem but if u have no expirence leave it to the pros
