Microwave is not responding. It is completely dead. How do I replace the low voltage transformer? and how do I replace the AC fuse? Do you know where I can get the parts from? Thanks so much.

Well, I finally found the problem & solved it!! It was the fuse inside the Microwave, which cost me $2.50 the set of 3 fuses at Radio Shack. The fuse is easy replaceable. So, just be careful & do not touch anything that says high voltage, even if the micro is not connected to an outlet!! problem solved!!

I found out that replacing the fuse which is right there when you open the cover of the microwave will bring back to life the microwave. The fuse cost $0.75 on Radio Shack. I won't go further than that. Just because it is an easy step to do, otherwise I would buy another one.

Oh dear,,, please dont even try to do this yourself, you could kill yourself,,, and im not kidding,,,
inside your microwave it a very big capacitor that holds 1000's of volts in it,,, its a killer,
have you ever seen a police stun gun working,,
it realy hurts you???
inside your microwave is its very big brother,,
it wont just stun you,,, it could kill you
and a new microwave only costs about £50 now is it realy worth taking that kind of a risk? for £50???
anyhow the parts for yours will cost far more that £50
so why not play it safe and go out and buy a newer one,, your life has got to be worth more than £50

Panasonic NN-C2003S microwave is completely dead. No lights, no action. Have taken cover off and checked fuse, which looks like it is in good condition.

Would need to check power to main board. A lot of times it is the small low voltage transformer on the main board. If the primary winding goes bad it cant get power to the rest of the board to function. So to start, is there power getting to the low voltage transformer on the main board??Have you had any thunder storms or power surges at your home where it is plugged in? If a home loses its Neutral power line it can mess up a lot of electrical devices in the home. do you notice your lights browning at times. If so you may need to get your power company out to do a load test on you system. But the transformer is a very low amp device and will not blow the main fuse if it goes bad. So you could bhave aburnt trace on the back of the main board or a bad transformer. Best guess. Good luck

Microwave went dead as soon as I started heating. Replaced its fuse:58001220

The klystron or the hi voltage transformer are faulty. The klystron is the part that generates the microwaves. The transformer supplies the voltage to operate the klystron.

Fuse keeps blowing in hotpoint microwave

The magnetron is the other issue, high voltage diode will sometimes crack causing a high level short, the capacitor developes a dead short across the 2 points, the power transformer almost never fails, "very rare"

Yesterday, my sharp carousel r-1460 went dead. I took apart the front keypad and replaced the 20amp fuse behind it. the microwave light and fan work. But, when I start microwave to cook something, pop! fuse...

If the 20A fuse is blowing, it is often the high voltage transformer or magnetron. If this is the case, and the microwave is not under warranty, replace it. Residential microwaves are generally considered disposable. Parts and labor are just too expensive. A magntron or transformer can cost more that half the cost of a new microwave.

Danby 1000 Watt Microwave is completely dead. Just stopped working right after heating up a dinner.

you may have just blown a fuse inside the microwave or the transformer inside has now failed and will need replacing but it will need to be looked at to see what exactly happened

If it went dead almost immediately after pressing the Start pad, that\'s usually a shorted high-voltage capacitor.

If it went dead a few seconds after pressing the Start pad, that\'s usually a failing high-voltage transformer.

Here are some links you or someone you know can use for test help, but read their safety warnings first:

Microwave stopped heating after being cleaned (could be co-incidence). Besides not heating appeared to run properly. Let sit for a day hoping something was wet and would dry, tried heating glass of water...

If it goes dead or blows the breaker when you plug it in or open or close the door, then there's a problem with a door switch or door switch mount.

But you might replace the fuse and do another quick heating test to see if it blows again. If so, you'll need to do some checks.
