Lcd Screen

I have a vivitar DVR 540 and when i turned it on it sudeenly had a blank white screen, to my knowlage it has not been dropped or damaged in anyway, im scared to tell my mum who brought this for me so i whould like to know if there is anyway to fix this problem ?

Sorry to hear that!
The only thing I would sugest is to pull the battery (and leave it out for 24 hours (or longer)) to try to reset the camera. But I would guess that the LCD stoped working and the white screen you see is the back lit screen mounted behind the LCD.
