My cigarette lighterr is not working

Have you done the basic checks,

-Check all fuses
-Check the wiring behind the radio and be sure its plugged it
-See if you can get another cigarette lighter to switch and test to see if yours is bad

I would say get a multimeter and test all the wires. There could be a ground somewhere in the line that is causing it to not work properly or the fuse could be blown.

I had bought a dual xd1222 aftermarket stereo. i bought a gm2000 harness for it to hook up in my 2002 chevy cavalier. i have all the wires connected but when i hook it up in the carit will not work. what...

check the fuse behind the stereo and in your fuse box first off and make sure the power wire/ignition wires are on the correct pin. do this with a test light for verification. also check the ground wire. after you test and connect these 3 wires, the stereo should turn on. Your wiring harness may not be done correctly so visual verification with a test light would be the best thing before starting a car install. If this still does not work and the stereo you took out did, it is a malfunctioning unit.

Blaupunkt 5 disc cd player is showing 'no discs' when discs are inserted

The indiatation of No dics shows that the cd data is not being read by the optical unit.this could be weak or failure of the laser of the optical unit. what you can do is only to clean the lens and test. if not you will have to replace the optical unit. Further a failrue of the processing electronics is also possible.
Hence check after cleaning and load a good clean Cd to test. Hope this helps? Good day

How do I connect a JVC receiver to the ignition switch?

you need to get a testing meter, connect the black lead from the testing meter to the car ground. and one to the pin in the connectors. Do this with the car ignition switch on, find one that's live, then turn the ignition switch off it should go off. then just cut the wire and connect it together. make sure you have a good ground lead connected to the ground of the car.
