TV's picture and sound goes off. Had to cycle power. Now nothing...But the TV power stays on

Sd Tech... I have this same problem. It has no error codes, no inputs work no CRT leakage, Caps all tested fine Reseated the dm, fuses tested fine along with the convergence IC's. I get perfect picture on OSD which means the DM is working, Just no video or sound from any input. Not even snow picture or sound when you disconnect the cable.

- Do you know the procedure for hard reset or location in the shop manual.

- I found in the SM G. Service Mode Reset To reset items in the Service Mode to their factory values: 1. Press MENU-0-3-5-7 to enter the Service Mode. 2. Press the ?0,1,2,3,? in-sequence to Reset to the Factory settings

THERE IS, aside from having the set taken to a shop, One other thing you can try---

NOT THE RESET BUTTON ON THE FRONT OF THE SET!

If the original Mitsubishi remote works on the set---this set has a hidden menu---it also in that menu has a HARD RESET---puts set back to the condition is was when new in the box--will come back on on channel 3 in the air band and any labels you placed on any of the video inputs (ie--named a input DVD etc) will be gone.

If you have OSD but no video either you have some problem with a single voltage coming out of the power supply(shop repair) or if you had a power outage or the power cord was removed with the set on---the hard reset may fix it---nothing to lose--set is not usable now---

Let me know if you want to try the reset and I will tell you how----

- ws55513? It may not be in the manual---it is called the option menu

with set on and original Mitsubishi remote:

MENU, 0,3,7,0 enter

select option with cursor on remote and hit enter

most of these sets will shut off and come back on in a few seconds on channel 3 in the "air band"

See if you find it in the manual.

Good luck

- Wrong menu-----0357 is for the other hidden menu

IT IS FOR CIRCUIT ADJUST---STAY OUT OF THAT ONE!

MENU, 0370 IS THE OPTION MENU---
