Question about Samsung Digimax S500 Digital Camera

Memory card locked

I have a samsung digimax a503 camera, i when i put in my memory card it keeps saying card locked. i have tried the lock switch on the card and also made sure that i have safely removed hardware on my computer but it still is locked is there anything you can advise me on many thanks

Try to slide up the notch on the memory card...its on the lefthand upper part of the memory card...

The 8GB memory card is too big. The Samsung Digimax A503 only supports SD cards up to 2GB and is probably the reason the camera is turning itself off.

Cant take any pictures a message on screen which says card locked


I am guessing that your memory card is an SD type. These cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.
