We have a 52 inch rear projection Mitsubishi not sure of the model number and the picture is starting to go blurry with reds and greens at the bottom of the screen

You will need the convergence power supply board. PSDF-240 its available from www.tvrepairworld.com its listed under the RCA circuit boards

U restart the tv,u hear alots of clicking?That mean the Ballast is dead or have problems,that why ur picture lamp not sustaning the picture.Replacing the Ballast might or will sustance the picture.

model number is located on bottom rear cover, your convergence circuit has failed but without model nobody can give you further info, re-post and we`ll try to help, video-tek

If the red, green, and blue colors are separated like a rainbow, then the convergence amps are going out. This set has a common problem of two electrolytic caps going bad. The caps are in the upper left-hand corner of the main board and will have a bulged top if bad.
I would not think the picture tubes are bad, especially all at once.

My RCA 52 rear projection TV has the letters getting blurry on top and bottom, Picture is OK but visually losing my eyesight staring at blurry numbers and letters.

Is this a bulb or simple fix ??

take off the front panel carefully, usually 2 screws around the controls. Next, stick your head in and look at the red green and blue tubes. see if they are dirty? if, not look further into the tube using aflaslight and see if there is a white pasty looking substance inside. IF so, you need to clean as you have bacteria growing in the cooling fluid. A big job and you need the gaskets, can order from Mitsubishi tech support..good luck be careful.

Focus and screen control box / remove front bottom panel there you will find it / it has 3 controls on top 3 on bottom top are focus for RGB tubes bottom controls adjust screen drives for RGB.

REPLACE THE CONVERGENCE IC (OR IC'S). A FUN JOB I CHARGE ABOUT 200 FOR.

your convergence board may be going out its about a 100.00 part but about 300 to have it installed

Red and blue present, but no green = bad green CRT is
best guess.Remove lower front panel = adjust screen and focus
controls for best pix..................T.
